Cupido DP Custom

Timeless & elegant

We built this Cupido at Denis’ request. Denis came to visit us in the workshop and already had many concrete ideas for his personal dream guitar. So the planning and consultation didn’t take too long and we soon had the concept for this elegant beauty together.
It should be light and resonant, so we chose red cedar wood for the body. Paired with a beautiful flamed maple top, which Denis chose himself on site, this creates a very versatile base with an absolute cream tone with a quick response, a warm but still quite crisp sound with bell-like overtones. The set- neck makes the tone a little softer and, with the long neck base, delivers a magnificent sustain.
It should also be versatile in terms of sound. Hence the two humbuckers, which can be split via a push-push switch on the tone control and selected with the 3-way toggle. The magnetic signal is supplemented by the Graphtech Ghost Piezo System, which delivers (almost) authentic steel string guitar sounds. The piezo and magnetic signal can be output either individually or mixed, or even output via two completely separate signal paths via the stereo jack. You can hardly make a guitar more versatile!
