Hydra TK

7-string at sunrise

We designed and built this hydra specifically for Tommy. The 7-string with 26.5″ scale length ensures nice, crisp and tight bass on the B string. The extremely hard and mirror-finish polished stainless steel frets bring every note to the point and allow a very nuanced bend of the string. We’ve used jumbo frets up to the 12th fret, medium frets from the 13th on. That gives a little more space on the high frets. The Richlite fingerboard on the three-piece flamed maple neck provide enormous stability and rigidity. In terms of sound, the humbuckers by Bareknuckle in combination with the tuning fork made of bell brass by ETS are beyond any doubt. But also optically the Hydra with its flamed maple top on the swamp ash, which is matt lacquered from head to toe, is an absolute eye-catcher. Real killer color in just such a guitar!
