The “red one” by Gary Moore

This S-type was specially built at Bernd Kiltz’s request. The classic Fiesta Red of Gary Moore was the inspiration for this guitar. The super-thin nitro finish has been aged very discreetly, the rest of the hardware has been given a light patina. Bernd had some special requests that he couldn’t get “off the shelf” and so he contacted us in order to be able to implement his ideas. We designed the fingerboard radius as a compound of 10-14″ and used medium stainless steel frets. The Gotoh 101 tremolo is equipped with a solid steel block and not only provides endless sustain, but also has a comfortably inserted and adjustable tremolo arm. The Kinman pickups deliver an absolutely creamy tone, but are completely hum-free and therefore very practical in every situation. The Gotoh locking tuners in combination with the bone saddle ensure the best tuning stability and we were also able to do without string trees installed. Last but not least, thermally treated alder was used for the body, which is not only lighter, but also extremely resonant and rich in overtones. That’s it, Quote Bernd: “This is the best Str*t I’ve ever owned.” Mission accomplished. 🙂
