Supersonic

This custom S-Type was specially built at Wolfgang’s request. The super-thin nitro finish was matched on the original “Sonic Blue” color. Wolfgang had some special requests that he couldn’t get as “standard model” from some big companys and so he contacted us to implement his ideas into his dream-guitar. So we designed the fretboard radius as a compound of 10-14″ and used medium stainless steel frets. The Gotoh 510 Vibrato is equipped with a solid steel block and provides endless sustain and a perfect S* sound. Kloppmann’s hand-wound pickups deliver an absolute cream tone with lots of transparency, openness and rich overtones. The locking tuners from Gotoh, in combination with the bone nut, ensure the best tuning stability and we were also able to completely do without string trees. Last but not least, we used thermally treated alder for the body, which is not only lighter, but also extremely resonant and rings like a bell. The perfectly flamed maple for the neck is also thermally treated and quatersawn, which ensures the best stability and is relatively insensitive to the effects of the weather.
