TSD Guitars

TSD – the “barrier-free” guitars

The idea for the guitars comes from Martin Paul. Martin himself has been confined to a wheelchair since an accident. As a passionate guitarist, however, he quickly reached the ergonomic limits of the usual guitar shapes, as their design means that they can only be used in a wheelchair to a limited extent. The playing posture was usually not optimal, which meant that Martin had difficulties comfortably reaching all positions beyond the 7th fret. So he developed a self-made design that again made it possible for him to use the guitar to its full extent even in a wheelchair. The principle of the design is the long lower horn and the string axis, which is inclined by 5 °. As a result, the guitar always rests in the optimal playing position on the legs and can therefore be played effortlessly up to the highest positions. Martin contacted us to transform the ideas of his prototype into two professionally built and designed models. The result are TSD Guitars – The Slightly Different Guitars
