Name says it all
We designed and built this extraordinary instrument for Nico. Nico is a big fan of Frank Rohles and Brian May and their selfmade guitars. So we took these two instruments as inspiration for Nico’s guitar and designed his personal dream guitar in close collaboration with him. We deviated from the original idea of a red stained top in favor of our “Real Steel” finish – a coating made of steel powder, which is applied in a special painting process and then sanded and polished to a high gloss. We stained the back completely black and lacquered it to a high gloss. The top is set off by a natural binding. The hollow body construction should not only save weight, but also make the sound a little more open and percussive. We built it “neck-through” for a quick response, endless sustain and best access to the highest frets. In addition, the sound should be as versatile as possible. Therefore, at Nico’s request, we installed three Seymour Duncan Little 59 humbuckers. These are switchable in a wide variety of ways by the 3×3 miniswitches.
