Explore the multiscale

We developed this custom design in collaboration with Stephan – the inspiration was of course a great classic from the 50s. However, we have made the shape a little more lively and about 10% smaller in total in order to keep the weight within a reasonable range. To avoid top-heaviness, we used our asymmetrical 7-string design for the headstock. This is very compact and also ensures that the strings are perfectly straight. The scale length is a multiscale from 25.5 to 26.6 inches. This ensures a crisp string pull and a nice punch in the bass and the familiar round feeling with the treble strings. Runic inlays made of MOP and 6mm aluminum rings from the 12th fret provide orientation and a visual treat on the fingerboard.The 24 polished stainless steel frets allow the bends to slide properly.
Stephan chose the fingerboard and the spectacular quilted maple top in our wood store. Alder serves as the basis for the versatile sound as tonewood for the body, as well as a 3-piece maple neck with the best stability.
The active Fishman Fluence pickups with the switchable voicings and the single coil mode for both pickups deliver an extremely wide range of sounds.
The single bridges from ABM, as well as the tuners and strap locks from Hipshot ensure proven quality on the hardware side.
The finish with the Magma Burst and the black back were Stephan’s idea – a perfect decision for this top and a killer look .. What more do you want? 🙂
