NH Blueburst
Sustain-able
This gem, inspired by Bernd Kiltz’s NH1, was also conceived entirely in the spirit of sustainability: entirely domestic tonewoods plus hardware, pickups, and tuners made in Germany. Why look far afield when (almost) everything we need for a fine guitar can be found right on our doorstep? The wood base is provided by a Hessian body made of black alder with a flamed maple drop-top from Bosnia, paired with maple and cherry from Neustadt for the neck, as well as Neustadt plum for the fretboard. The sound is incredibly clear and transparent, with endless overtones, without delivering too many harsh highs. It’s also super resonant, with lightning-fast, precise response and long, balanced sustain. Through an amp, the hand-wound Häussel pickups perfectly showcase this fundamental character: always clear and transparent, warm and round without ever getting muddy. With the HH pickup combination and coil-split for both humbuckers, this guitar is extremely versatile tonally. The hardware from Schaller and ABM also comes from Germany and is among the best quality available on the market, produced above all to German standards of manufacturing and environmental protection, without cheap labor. Thanks to the short supply routes of all domestic producers and our workshop’s supply of green electricity, we also ensure the smallest possible carbon footprint.
