We built this stylish single cut for Justin using one of my personal favorite colors for maple tops: “Faded Denim Blue,” combined with a super-light cedro body and neck and a plum fretboard.
The fretboard has a slightly longer 25″ scale length with MOP inlays according to Justin’s specifications. The neck is extra wide at just under 50mm at the nut and configured exactly as requested.
We deliberately rounded the neck insert and made it more ergonomic than the classic model, which makes playing in the highest registers super comfortable.
The whole thing is rounded off with ’59 PAF replicas from Amber Pickups with handmade frames made of plum wood and hardware from Germany by Schaller and ABM. A modern classic, in other words.
