Natural Hydra
We built this Hydra specifically at Holger’s request. After Holger visited us in the workshop and tried everything we had in stock in the showroom, it quickly became clear: the Hydra is his thing, something is needed that meets exactly his requirements for his perfect guitar. Said and done! Holger has chosen a beautiful quilted maple top to adorn his Hydra. Since it should be particularly light and resonant, we have chosen a nice, light piece of Cedro for the body. Sonically and botanically related to mahogany, it has a much lower density. The floating ABM 5200 tremolo delivers a beautifully balanced tone with brilliant overtones and is also very tuning stable thanks to the locking tuners. The two DiMarzio Titan deliver very nice split sounds with the 5-way Megaswitch P and are fully activated in positions 1 and 5 for a hearty rock sound. Our proven neck joint with the M6 stainless steel screws ensure fast response and best sustain. For a velvety and natural feel, we opted for an oil and wax finish.
