We built this Hydra at Logan’s request! Equipped with a one-piece Kahya body and the finest quilted maple top, Khaya neck and rosewood fretboard, we have already created the perfect basis for an all-round rock guitar with this Hydra. The 22 polished stainless steel frets also ensure a fine playing feel and bring a huge fun factor with bendings. The compound radius in the fretboard of 12-16″ means that the string action can be set ultra-flat and playability is extremely comfortable up to the highest frets.
On the technical side, the solid brass bridge by ETS ensures perfect sound transmission and the Schaller locking tuners ensure tuning stability and easy handling. The hand-wound pickups by Harry Häussel round off the hard rock concept and ensure proper punch and power with the best definition and string separation.
Visually, the “Tigereye” finish of the Quilted Maple top makes this Hydra an absolute treat! A dream guitar that the builder finds difficult to let go of 😉
