HS Custom Guitar

Mirror, mirror on the wall…

We built this beauty at Hendrick’s request. The classic Iceman design served as the basis, of course. The original Ibanez model, built in the late 70s for Paul Stanley of Kiss, even had a real, broken glass mirror (!) on the top. To replicate this look, we opted for mirrored acrylic glass. All the pieces were individually cut, sanded, polished, pieced together like a puzzle, and finally glued on. That alone took about three full days. But the result is a spectacular eye-catcher, I’d say! Instead of the original’s silver, Hendrick chose a gold mirror and gold hardware for an extra “bling” factor. 🙂 Beyond its looks, it’s also a perfectly stage-ready guitar with top-notch sound and first-class hardware! This is ensured by the two Harry Häussel pickups (one P90 at the neck and a fat humbucker at the bridge), as well as the ABM 5200 tremolo combined with Schaller locking tuners.

All in all, a real eye- and ear-catcher on any stage. Understatement is overrated anyway 😉
