Regio-wood

We built this Custom T at Fabian’s request. What was important was the complete absence of tropical woods, as well as a special versatility that is not normally found in a Tellie. Classically, the choice fell on alder and maple for the body and neck – but from our region! As an alternative to indian rosewood, we chose plum for the fingerboard. This fruitwood is quite dense and heavy and has a very fine texture with a beautiful and decorative grain. Visually and functionally, it is in no way inferior to Indian rosewood – in terms of sound, it is even an improvement to my ears, as it is more towards Rio Rosewood (Dalbergia Nigra), the “holy grail” of tonewood. You also want an HSH pickup set, natural oil + wax finish, a Wilkinson tremolo, a shorter 25 “scale and contour shaping of the body? Of course, no problem!
