Charcoaled Beauty

We built this Custom Shop S-Design at Danijel’s request. Danijel chose a spectacularly grained maple top on site at our workshop. We glued this as a 5mm drop top onto the mahogany body. Based on a color pattern on scrap wood, the color was decided pretty quickly. A special feature of this instrument is the fully scallopped fingerboard made from Madagascar rosewood with 24 stainless steel frets. Danijel also plays 008 strings, so it was important that the guitar was sensitive to the finest nuances. Therefore, the choice fell on the Babicz Bridge, a patented system that promises “full contact” of all moving parts and thus ensures optimal vibration transmission. In combination with our proven set-neck system with the M6 ​​stainless steel screws and the large and close-fitting neck connection, a maximum of the string vibrations are transmitted and ensure pronounced resonances and sustain. These are sent to the amp by the Spirit of ’59 humbuckers made by Amber. An extremely open and differentiated rock sound, based on the “Holy Grail” of electric guitars, rounds off the overall concept.
