We built this blue beauty for Thilo! A classic Superstr@t design with a double-locking tremolo from Ibanez and two modern DiMarzio pickups leaves no doubt about the sound direction this guitar is headed! As a visual treat, we used a spectacularly figured drop top made of maple burl. For optimal sonic transfer and a super comfortable neck-body transition, we opted for a neck-through construction made of mahogany, with the two body wings crafted from the same wood. Ebony with black pearl sharkfin inlays was used for the fretboard. We shortened the scale length slightly to 24.75″, which makes the guitar a bit more compact and warmer in tone due to the reduced string tension. 24 polished stainless steel frets ensure super smooth bends.
