Cupido Tigereye

The eye of the tiger

The finest woods and hardware, combined with expertise and meticulous craftsmanship – that’s what makes this Cupido so special. We selected the best cedro for the body and neck. Cedro (also known as Spanish cedar) is related to mahogany. However, it is significantly lighter and thus, both tonally and visually, is comparable to Swietenia mahogany, which was used for the legendary 1950s single-cut guitars. This results in this Cupido weighing in at a mere 3.2 kg – a true lightweight for a single-cut!

For the top, we used quilted maple of absolute premium quality, and for the fretboard, an elegant “golden” ebony with wood bindings. The two pickups from Harry Häussel deliver a creamy sound. The 1959 humbucker set is Harry’s interpretation of the classic “Holy Grail” PAF sound – wonderfully open and transparent with silky highs and plenty of warmth and woody character. A truly addictive tone! Ideal for all styles of classic rock and blues.

The slightly longer 25″ (635mm) scale length provides greater string tension and a crisper sound than traditional single-cut guitars. The 22 mirror-polished stainless steel frets ensure extremely smooth bends and offer a highly nuanced playing feel. Schaller and ABM hardware provide proven quality, perfectly complementing the design of this premium guitar.
