The evolution of a classic design, a symbiosis of high-tech and craftsmanship, vintage and modern – we built this X-type at Stefan’s request and made his absolute guitar dream come true. Inspired by the classic explorer design of the 50’s, we’ve tapered the shape a little bit and added elegant bevels to the edges. The dark “Midnight Blue” in a completely satin finish is a harmonious contrast to the super-modern look of the hardware color “Cosmo Black”. As an inlay motif in the fretboard, Stefan chose the “Vegvisir” from Nordic mythology. With this runic compass you will always find the safe way home and will never get lost even in the wildest pentatonic storm on the fretboard 😉
Finally, the two active EMG humbuckers also provide a contemporary sound foundation and the Gotoh hardware is state-of-the-art in terms of sound and functionality.
