Eye of the Tiger

We built this Hydra especially at Bernd’s request. The perfect adjustment of the neck profile was particularly important. Since Bernd suffers from osteoarthritis in the wrist, we decided on a very strong, asymmetrical neck profile, which corresponds to a hard D in the treble area and flattens out like a V profile in the bass area. This ensures a more relaxed hand position and less curvature in the wrist, which means that fatigue-free and pain-free play is possible even for longer gigs. Bernd came to our workshop thus we were able to “tailor” his perfect neck on site. In addition to the ergonomics, this Hydra with the flamed maple top and the Tigereye burst is of course also an absolute eye-candy! In terms of sound, the 3 Häussel pickups in combination with the ETS bridge made of solid bell brass deliver an extremely versatile tone from hardrock to blues and leaves nothing to be desired.
