This S-Type was specially built at Franks request. The super-thin nitro finish carefully relic’d. Frank had some special requests that he couldn’t get as “standards” from big companys and so he contacted us to be able to implement his ideas. So we designed the fretboard radius as a compound of 10-14″ and used medium stainless steel frets. The ABM5050 Vibrato is equipped with a solid steel block and ensures endless sustain and a perfect S* sound. The Kloppmann DML Pickups deliver tons of power and utmost clarity and definition. The locking tuners from Gotoh, in combination with the bone nut and the roller string tree ensure the best tuning stability. Last but not least, we used thermally treated alder for the body, which is not only lighter, but also extremely resonant and rich in overtones. The quaterswan maple neck ensures the best stability and is relatively insensitive to the effects of the weather.
