Custom RG at its best

We built this custom axe at Dennis’ request. It was a long journey for Dennis and us to determine the optimal specs and to build Dennis a “sword”, as he so beautifully put it 😉 But good things take time and at the end of the way there was this high-end Beauty.
The basis of the body design is of course the RG Powerstr@t design from Ibanez. Dennis chose a beautiful piece of western red cedar on site – an incredibly light and resonant wood that sounds very lively and has an extremely fast attack. The neck should be oiled rosewood, with an ingenious feel and look and also extremely torsion-resistant. The light roasted maple fingerboard and custom inlays appear to be “inlaid” with the rosewood bindings in the neck. A nice idea from Dennis and very effective!
The electronics are also very sophisticated: The Zexcoil pickups are completely noiseless, but still produce an absolutely authentic SC sound. The pickup on the bridge is even a “humbucker” and can be split in parallel using a mini switch. The volume control is a push-push potentiometer, with which the neck pickup can be switched in parallel in any position of the 5-way pickup switch. There is also a tone potentiometer and an adjustable EMG midboost, which is controlled via the recessed push-push switch in the pickguard can be activated. Versatile like a Swiss Army knife!
In terms of hardware, the original Floyd Rose ensures vibratos with any worries and the Hipshot tuners ensure the best functionality. The Tremol-no system is easily accessible through the backplate and can set the Floyd to dive-only or lock it completely.
All in all, a super sophisticated instrument and tailored to Dennis’ needs like a tailor-made suit. This is Custom Shop!
