Precious wood with depth<\/h3>\n

We designed and built this stylish guitar for Bernd Kiltz from Gitarrenlehreronline.de<\/a>. Bernd wanted a baritone guitar to complement his Koa 1<\/a> as a \u201cbad sister\u201d that would deliver plenty of punch at low tunings. For a standard B tuning with 11-gauge strings, we opted for a 27.5″ scale length. This means that the string gauge is not too large and the tension remains at a familiar level.
\nVisually, the choice here was also a premium koa top with an intensely flamed grain as a 5mm \u201cdrop top\u201d (this means that the top is bent downwards and glued in the armrest area). The body is made of very light and extremely resonant red cedar, which Bernd already loved in his NH1<\/a>.
\nBernd chose a beautiful golden ebony fingerboard to contrast with the top, which was glued to a light cedro + maple laminated neck. We then added black ebony bindings and 24 shiny polished EVO frets.
\nOf course, we used gold hardware to match\u2014Schaller contributed the ebony-winged tuners, and the fixed bridge came from Hipshot in the USA.
\nLast but not least, Andreas Kloppmann once again delighted us with his pickups: this time, the Sinner & Saint set was used \u2013 perfect for anyone looking for plenty of power with the best sound definition.<\/p>\n
