Natural Beauty<\/h3>\n

Our interpretation of Lester Polfuss’ original design from the 50s. Our goal was to capture the spirit of what is probably the most popular guitar model of all time \u2013 the 1959 Standard \u2013 and to convey it in a modern guitar. It was important to us to avoid plastic as much as possible. The bindings on the fingerboard, the switch tip, electronic cover and the pickup ring are made entirely of maple wood. The top has a \u201cnatural binding\u201d.
\nSo it all started with the choice of wood: Light one-piece Khaya mahogany was our choice for the body and neck. Ebony with classic mother-of-pearl block inlays was used for the fingerboard and we chose a beautifully flamed piece of Bosnian maple for the top.
\nThe 36th Anniversary PAF pickups from DiMarzio are intended to recreate the 1959 PAF sound as best as possible. For the electronics, CTS potentiometers were used with TAD Orangedrop capacitors, a solid Switchcraft switch and output jack. A modern TOM from ABM made of solid brass was used for the bridge, as well as an aluminum tailpiece for the best sustain and a beautiful open and \u201cwoody\u201d sound character. As a modern upgrade, we used Gotoh locking tuners for the best tuning stability. Further upgrades include the 2-way truss rod, the volute at the transition between the neck and headstock for more stability and stainless steel frets for absolutely wear-free playing and super smooth bendings. The neck-body transition is also comfortably rounded and, with the Long Tennon, which extends well below the neck pickup, has a maximum glue area for the best stability and vibration transmission. We also reinforced the neck with carbon rods, which makes it stiffer and reduces adjustment of the truss rod to a minimum.
