Hydra Multiscale – good for Groot!<\/h3>\n

We built this Hydra at Jan’s request. During his visit at our workshop, Jan chose this beautiful piece of Black Limba for the body. In terms of sound, this wood delivers a tight bass foundation and expressive highs. Perfect for the growl in the bass of this 7-string. The multiscale scale also ensures a nice crisp and tight bass on the B string. The “normal” string length of 25.5\u2033 on the high strings feels familiar and has a softer tension. In addition, the fanned frets accommodate an ergonomic hand position and playing style. The extremely hard and mirror-polished stainless steel frets bring every note to the point and allow a very nuanced bending of the string.
\nThe active Fishman Fluence humbuckers with 3 different voicings per humbucker ensure maximum tonal variety. The battery pack can be conveniently charged via USB and makes changing the battery unnecessary.
\nThe graphics on the roasted maple neck are definitely an eye-catcher. Jan provided these and we transferred them to the fretboard as waterslide decals and sprayed them over with thin NC lacquer.
